8B TUESDAY, APRIL 30, 2024 AKRON BEACON JOURNAL 25 OBS Leo LaRue Hardison 44, passed away on April 25, 2024. Leo was born March 11, 1980, to Di- ane and Darnell Hardi- son. Leo attended Akron Public Schools and Ken- more High School. Leo was a beautiful person inside and out and everyone who knew him knows that looking fabulous outside was everything to him. Leo was always dressed to impress and looking and he loved the color red.

His appearance was im- portant, but he was not shallow or His love for his family was the most real. He loved his children, and he was an excellent father. Leo was real and always kept it real. Where there was Leo there was always J.R., his brother. They were always together, like twins.

He is preceded in death by; great grandparents, Perline Coney and Nellie Hardison; great grand- fathers, Douglas Coney, and Robert Hardison; grandmother, Ann Bledsoe; grandfathers, Thomas Bledsoe, William (Bill) Powers; brothers, Pashawn Bledsoe; sister, Vernell Corn. He leaves to cherish his memory mother, Di- ane (Mike) Hardison; Father, Darnell Hardison daughters, Daishanai Covington and Leasia Hardison; stepdaughter, Lennix Stevens; sons Leo Hardison Jr, Maki Hardison; grandmother, Melva Lee Hardison; sisters, Desi Brewer, Darnetta Bledsoe, Audrey Bledsoe, and Latoya Ware; brothers, Dazzal Corn, Darnell Hardison Terrance Hardison, Jason Hardison, Cleo Hardison, Windell Hardison, Garland Toney and Davion Toney, mothers, Marissa Cov- ington, Aleza Williams, Kia Columbus; special friend, who stood by Leo Erica Harrison; big-cousin, Darnessa Lavender; god-father Babe Fields; step-grandmother, Helen Johnson and a multitude of other cousins, family and friends. Friends may call on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Sommerville Funeral Services, 1695 Diagonal Rd. Akron, Oh 44320. Funeral service will immediately follow.

Leo LaRue Hardison Warren Dale Koblenzer age 70, affectionally known as and passed away on April 25, 2024 surrounded by his loving family after a short and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Norton, Ohio to parents Warren Dale Koblenzer, Sr. and Theresa Mae Koblenzer (nee He graduated from Miami University, Ox- ford, Ohio with a degree in Finance, and joined the as a advisor at Merrill Lynch in 1976. He dedicated his 47- year career at Merrill Lynch to helping those who entrusted him to achieve their goals.

He built relationships where clients became lifelong friends. Dale exuberated joy in all that he did, and he brought out the best in others. He was a true gentleman and conducted himself with grace and distinction. His infectious spirit, love for life, and devotion to his family was admired by all. Dale lived life to the fullest, and could be found racing Porsches, downhill skiing, and laughing with friends.

He was a trusted handyman for his family and never missed an opportunity to be one on the dance Dale enjoyed spending time with his family in Seagrove Beach, FL and most especially loved taking long walks on the beach while affection- ately holding the hand of his wife, Peggy. Together, Dale and Peggy enjoyed travelling all over the United States, Canada, and Ireland to golf. He devoted his life to giving back to the community and generously gave of his time, talent and treasure to many notable area organizations. He served on numerous boards, including Akron Hospital for 25 years and the Akron Community Foundation for 9 years, where he served on the Finance Committee. He was instrumental in the renovation of the Akron Civic Theatre in the 1990s.

He also was a dedicated member of Bluecoats, Inc. and also served as President. He was a lifelong member at Portage Country Club, and enjoyed spend- ing time there with his family and friends. Dale also served on the Portage board and various committees, where he worked tirelessly to enhance the Club. Notably, he served as President and helped guide the Club forward after recovering from the of 1999.

Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Peggy Koblenzer (nee Ethridge); daughters, Katie Orendorf (Harri- son), Ann Koblenzer (Bill Murphy), and Laura Lafferty (Ian); six adoring grandchildren, Connor Dale, Grant, Avery Dale, Owen, Madison Dale, and Ryan; his three sisters, Barb VanDeman (Lee), Sue Carney (John), and Jan Koblenzer. He was a favored uncle, father and mentor to many. Dale left a lasting impact on lives he touched. May we all continue his legacy. Visitation 4-7 P.M.

Market St. Akron, OH 44313. A reception in honor of Life will be held at Portage Country Club immediately following the memorial service. In lieu of memorial contributions in name may be made to Akron Hospital, the Akron Community Foundation, or to St. Episcopal Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Herman Ul- lom, and his beloved son James D. Ullom. David is survived by his loving wife Maureen (Mimi), as well as his younger brother Jim Ullom (wife Sherry), and his grandsons, Tyler and Corey Ullom. David and Mimi have always enjoyed tak- ing an active role in their lives, along with their mother Patti.

David went to High School in Akron, Ohio where he met his beautiful wife of 62 years, Maureen (Mimi) Sullivan. David joined the Unit- ed States Army and, after his military service, went to night school at the University of Akron while working in the rubber industry. Dave later started his own rubber company in the Extruded Silicone Products and Gaskets, LLC, which was the focus of his professional life, and that he continued to manage until his passing. David was a leader, larger than life, and always liked being in charge. He was known as a problem solver, who often took on and unwanted projects.

Known in the industry for his forward thinking in incorporating new methods of man- ufacturing rubber products and for producing excellent quality rubber products to meet his needs, he will be greatly missed. Currently plans have not been for his memorial. Details will follow from the family. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.CliffordShoemaker.com. David Lee Ullom STOW Ryan Lee Fair, 70, from Delray Beach, Florida formerly from Stow, Ohio passed away on March 22, 2024. He is preceded in death by his father, Carl (Bud) Fair, and his mother Imo- gene (Ike) Fair of Akron, Ohio, and his two broth- ers-in-law Bill Horvatter and Rex Snograss. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Barbara Fair of Florida, his siblings Carla Horvatter, Peni (Bob) Gainer, Darla Snograss, Gary (Faye) Fair, his sons Chad, Rob (Noe), Jason (Kari), and the love of his life, grandchildren Malia, Issac (Abby), Katelyn, Kara, Jason Jr. and Jordan.

He was a military vet- eran, family man, enjoyed and watching the Cleveland Indians and Browns. Viewing hours will be at Newcomer Funeral Home at 131 North Canton Road, Akron Ohio 44305 on May 1, 2024, from 1-4 PM. In place of donations are accepted for funeral expens- es.
